Living a Life in Colour

a guide to Italian food, wine and culture

Pots and Pans Material: Titanium

Titanium is an extremely durable material which requires little care and conducts heat well. But it is expensive.

Best for: Sauté pans and frying pans.

Heat conduction: Titanium is a good conductor of heat and heats quickly.

Versatility: Good.

Temperature change: No problem but the ceramic titanium non-stick coating cannot go to very high temperatures.

Non-stick: If coated with ceramic titanium, the non-stick coating is extremely durable and cannot be scratched with use of metal utensils and is PFOA free.

Care: Titanium equipment is durable, and does not warp or react with food.

Clean: Wash in warm soapy water.
