How to remove the skin from nuts

 

To remove the skin from almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts or any  nut bring a pot of water to boil and add the nuts.

Boil the nuts for 8 minutes, remove and strain.

When the nuts are cool enough to handle, rub the nuts with your fingers to remove the skin. For more knobbly nuts like walnuts, use a paring knife to remove the skins.

    After boiling walnuts do I mix ingredients of brown sugar, butter and salt immediately with nuts then put then into oven?
